CIO Choice 2018: Honouring ICT brands who stand out amongst competition

Here’s all that happened at the dazzling 6th Red Carpet Night!

The year’s most eagerly awaited ICT event recently concluded at the Sahara Star in Mumbai, where 25 stellar ICT brands walked away with the coveted CIO Choice 2018 trophy. The sixth edition of the annual recognition platform was centred on the Men In Black theme, which saw ICT leaders looking sharp in their black formal best, ready to take on the troubles of the galaxy!

In the audience were India’s top ICT business leaders who were there to cheer on the brands they had given their stamp of approval to during the pan-India voting process. Professional services firm, KPMG was the Knowledge Partner. This year 25 ICT brands were recognised across 48 categories, some of which, like Multi Cloud and Enterprise AI Assistant, were new introductions that focussed on key emerging technologies. The competition was quite heated this year with over 200 private and public companies (including large and small-medium enterprises) vying for the top spot. Each was keen to earn the CIO Choice Gold Seal of Trust as it represents the confidence earned from their most important customers—the CIOs.

The winners now have the bragging rights to state that they are the CIOs’ most preferred brand and develop a brand character on top of the CIO Choice trust. They can harness the amplified CIO exposure to increase their brand reach and recall in the market.

A distinguished CIO Advisory Panel, comprising industry leaders and CIOs from across various verticals, was instrumental in guiding the entire process for this edition of CIO Choice. The panel comprised Bhavin Purohit, Group CIO, Wellspun, GS Ravi Kumar, CIO, Gati, Mayur Danait, CIO, Lupin, Monika Phartyal, Head IT, 3M India, Mrinal Chatterjee, Director of Technology, Amazon India, Ramandeep Singh Virdi, Senior VP – IT, Jubilant FoodWorks, Mukesh Rathi, CIO, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Subodh Dubey, Group CIO, Shapoorji Pallonji Group, and Thomson Thomas, Executive VP, Business Systems and Technology, HDFC Standard Life Insurance.

The awards unfolded with much glitz and glamour, with engaging entertainment ensuring the winners as well as ICT luminaries had a night to remember.

Speaking on the occasion, Anoop Mathur, Founder and President, CORE Media, said, “I congratulate all the winners for winning the CIOs’ Gold Seal of Trust and being felicitated at CIO CHOICE 2018. This validation from the CIO community highlights their creative vision, customer-centric philosophy and practical leadership in providing a wide array of capabilities and driving business value for their customers. The ICT brands recognised at CIO CHOICE 2018 are great examples of how IT is changing the face of business.”

Kunal Pande, Partner, Advisory Services, KPMG, added, “This is an innovative platform that works to build a stronger ICT ecosystem by showcasing ICT brands that have been chosen by CIOs for providing solutions. CIOs always are on the lookout for innovative solutions to help their business gain a competitive edge, and CIO Choice is a novel step in this direction. I wish the CIO Choice 2018 winners all the very best.”
