Shankar Gawade has joined DAM Capital Advisors as Head – Technology & Cyber Security. DAM Capital Asvisors (formerly IDFC Securities), is one of the leading investment banking companies in India.
Gawade joins DAM from Axis Capital where he spent over 8 years in various leadership roles, driving business technology transformation. He last served as Senior Vice President & Head of IT at Axis Capital, before moving out from the company.
In his present role, Gawade will be responsible for IT operations, digital initiatives, Business Continuity and Information Security.
Gawade comes with more than 30 years of experience and knowledge in the financial services sector including Investment Banking, Broking, Mutual Funds, PMS and IPO. During the course of his career, he has been a change-agent who helped his organizations achieve business goals through critical technology initiatives.
Prior to Axis Capital, Gawade was associated with Enam Securities and Stanchart UTI securities. He has won many prestigious industry awards and recognitions including CIO Power List 2020 and CIO Crown IT Genius Award.
